Questions Students Actually Ask

- How do I keep my course if I change phones?
- Sign in with the same email you used at checkout. Enrollment lives on that account, not only this browser.
- Where is my certificate and guarantee?
- Hangar → Desk. When the course final is at 80%, the completion certificate and the written-test guarantee claim both open. The certificate is a school record, not an FAA certificate.
- Do you auto-sign AC 61-65 in IACRA?
- No. After you request the endorsement, a CFI reviews the gradebook and signs the AC 61-65K sample language in the logbook / IACRA. The campus shows that language so you and the instructor are looking at the same paragraph.
- What if I fail the FAA written?
- If the campus work was finished and it is the first attempt inside the window, the written-test guarantee applies. Read the guarantee page for the exact rules.
- Is this the same as Sporty’s or Pilot Institute?
- No. Those are video-and-test products with apps. This is a CFI school: handbook pages, a full lesson plan, 90% quizzes, Hangar tools, and a person who will book dual.
- Do you have a pass rate to publish?
- Not yet. We will publish first-attempt written results once a fair sample of students has sat PSI or CATS. Until then we do not invent a percentage.
- Military or first responder?
- Use code MILITARY or FIRSTRESPONDER at checkout for 10% off ground courses and bundles.
- How do affiliates actually get paid?
- Approved partners get a unique Altitude Affiliate Code. When a student checks out with it, the sale is recorded on the school ledger. Request a payout from the desk (PayPal or Venmo). The school pays on the 1st and the 15th.
- Is the Hangar logbook my legal log?
- No. It is a working copy. Keep the paper (or an approved electronic) log as the 61.51 record.
- How do I ask a CFI?
- Open Forums. Ask a CFI is for questions. DPE Gouges is checkride intel. Hangar Talk is the lounge. Instructors have a separate Ready Room. A for-credit quiz files the score privately with the CFI desk — grades are not posted on the Forums. Sign in to start a thread or reply. A CFI reply is teaching, not a logbook signature.
